Andrew Greenblatt, Co Founder and CEO

Andrew Greenblatt, 37, is a cofounder and the CEO of PRIDE. Greenblatt first conceived of the idea of creating a socially responsible brand of diamonds when he began investing in rough diamonds in Guyana.

As an independent investor he has had to learn every aspect of the rough diamond trade, from moving money and diamonds across borders to finding qualified buyers and sellers. He is responsible for serving as the Company's business strategist in understanding how to use socially responsible practices to increase profits.

Greenblatt has spent five of the last six years working with Ben Cohen, cofounder of Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream, and a team of activists setting up and running two projects called Business Leaders for Sensible Priorities and TrueMajority.

His first socially responsible business was purchasing a building that is used to house teenage girls in foster care who have babies of their own. This business not only helps some of the most vulnerable in our society, but also has shown a cumulative ROI of 500 percent over five years. He has continued to invest in real estate and renting to various nonprofits. Greenblatt graduated cum laude from Harvard Law School and summa cum laude from SUNY Albany.
